Career Department — Internships and the path into a first role

The Career Department is where training meets work: internship placements at home and abroad, and mentored job-application support that turns a portfolio into a first role.

About The Department

CanadaICA’s Career Department helps students turn the knowledge and skills they gain in training into real work experience. The aim is not only to educate — it is to help students start in the professional world more prepared, more aware, and stronger.

Internship-supported learning is a core part of the career path. Eligible students are guided toward domestic or international placements related to their field, so training and work experience move forward together. After graduation or training, they do not meet the workplace for the first time — they have already begun to experience it.

The department also guides the job-application process. It seeks openings that fit students’ skills and career goals, helps identify suitable roles, and supports a more deliberate application journey.

The Career Department’s core goal is not only that students finish a training program — it is that they step into working life better prepared through internships, mentorship, real project experience, and career support.

01 — Internship

Internship — Domestic and International Opportunities

CanadaICA helps students reach internship opportunities both in their own country and internationally. The aim is to go beyond classroom work and gain experience inside real teams and real work processes.

Domestic internships help students gain experience with companies and the local business world in the country where they are. International internships offer the chance to learn other work cultures and build experience abroad.

In both models, the fit between the student’s training track and the internship is kept in view; mentorship throughout the process strengthens the step into professional life.

Domestic internship

Placements in your own country — close to local employers and markets where you already live and study.

International internship

Placements in other leading countries — real teams abroad, with mentorship that keeps your track and the workplace aligned.

02 — Job Application Support

Job Application Support — Apply Stronger to the Right Opportunities

CanadaICA helps students run their job search in a more planned and targeted way. Positions that fit you are identified according to your training track, skills, and portfolio.

Career mentors research job opportunities in different countries and help you focus on listings that match your profile. That way you aim at better-fit opportunities instead of random applications.

You are not alone in the application process either. Our goal is to connect your skills with the right opportunities and make your step into professional life stronger.
